Position summary

Roles and responsibilities

 

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the various food preparation activities according to the lists established by the Director of food services;
  • Prepare and cook food for the daily menus in collaboration with the Director of food services;
  • Directs the clearing clerks in the execution of their tasks;
  • Supervise the cleanliness and safety of the work areas;
  • Take inventory and prepare orders;
  • Assist in the receiving and control of merchandise;
  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Director of food services.

Skills and qualifications

 

  • Professional cooking diploma (DEP) an asset;
  • Certificate of training in hygiene and food safety an asset.

 

 

Skills and behaviors required

 

  • Able to work under pressure;
  • Be in good physical shape;
  • Ability to identify priorities and be able to respond quickly to last minute requests;
  • Ability to manage staff;
  • Punctual and responsible.

 

 

Schedule and duration

 

  • Seasonal employment
  • Day shifts only;
  • Full time or part time with weekends.
  • Start date mid-October (fall weekend) then start of season.
