LIFT MECHANIC
General description of the position
Under the supervision of the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, the lift mechanic participates in the maintenance, inspection, improvement and repair of mountain equipment (ski lifts, snowmaking equipment, ziplines and other industrial equipment).
Duties and responsibilities
Mechanical
- Carry out repairs as required;
- Perform routine inspections (checking structures, electrical and hydraulic components, checking engines, etc.);
- Prepare and carry out inspections of cables, hanger brackets and pulley trains (dismantling, cleaning, assembly, motor, pump and compressor);
- Perform preventive maintenance;
- Help occasionally with ski lifts;
- Complete various reports and perform tests on equipment;
- Operate machinery (tracked transporter, loader, all-terrain vehicle, tractor);
- Perform voltage tests;
Related tasks
Qualifications
- Journeyman’s certificate in lift mechanics or industrial mechanic training;
- Knowledge of electricity, industrial mechanics, electro mechanics and welding
- Experience in a similar position or at a ski resort (an asset)
- Knowledge of blueprint reading (mechanical and electrical)
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work outdoors throughout the 4 seasons

Schedule and duration
- Permanent, full-time position;
- Available to work a varied schedule (weekdays, evenings and holidays), including weekends during the winter period;
